Thanks to Sue for making me aware of Hunter S Thompson’s extremely polite rant to a collection agent, from his collection of letters The Proud Highway, which prompted my, admittedly inferior, own little missive to Vodafone. (I’ve heard it said that HST has inspired many poor imitators - I’m not quite sure that this is what whoever said that had in mind).
