I Am a Human Fly

Monday, August 9th, 2004

Mmmm… I am in insect heaven.

I just managed to get a version of Human Fly by The Cramps offa Soulseek. I already have a cover by The Fuzztones, which is great, but is not what played on my Walkman (Sony. Original) as I walked around Teddington for a year, aged 15. You know how everyone has one girlfriend/boyfriend who, regardless of later events and wrong-provings, is the only one, ever. The irreplaceable. Well, ditto for songs. I just rediscovered mine.

Amber and Rowan on the Mawddach Estuary
I’d forgotten just how beautiful and uplifting the Mawddach Estuary is. As soon as we arrived at the campsite and I walked down to the river at sunset, everything seemed right with the world, I felt so calm so suddenly. Lots more photos like the one above and this one coming soon - my photography seems to be improving, or perhaps the place just brings out the best in everything.
