Killing Joke 7th May 2006

Another music assignment, covering Killing Joke (and support act Tribazik) for Sandman magazine, at Sheffield's Corporation nightclub. I've been a fan of Killing Joke, in a small way, ever since I bought their album "Revelations" some time in the early 80s, and I met some of them at Bill's funeral where Youth read an elegy both moving and hilarious, and Jaz Coleman composed a classical requiem especially for the wake. So it was good finally seeing them live, enjoying their noisy tribal trancey metallic sound. Support band Tribazik were equally enjoyable, really great noises that had my body jerking and my camera shaking far more than it really ought.
